Player development partner
Every session is a chance to grow.
Success will be measured not only by wins, but by the growth and enjoyment of every athlete. Each session will include structured instruction, movement, teamwork, and confidence-building.
As Alberni Valley Blitz's football development partner, Wide Receiver University (WRU) will help shape our player-development program, bringing professional-level instruction and proven coaching principles to athletes of all experience levels—from kids learning football for the first time to players looking to take the next step in their development.
Train With Experience. Develop With Purpose.
Rashaun Simonise built his football career from Vancouver to the University of Calgary, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Canadian Football League. Through Wide Receiver University (WRU), he brings the lessons, attention to detail and standards learned at every level of that journey directly to young athletes.
At the University of Calgary, Rashaun recorded 1,306 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns during his All-Canadian 2015 season. He signed with Cincinnati as a college free agent in 2016 before being selected 12th overall in the second round of the 2018 CFL Draft. His professional career also included time with Winnipeg, BC, Montreal and Edmonton.
Rashaun knows that talent alone isn't enough. His coaching combines position-specific development with discipline, football IQ, confidence and mentorship—helping young athletes understand what the next level demands and giving them the tools to keep developing on and off the field.
Non-contact play
No tackles. Just tags.
NFL FLAG keeps the game fast, active, and focused on skills, teamwork, and confidence.
